The original idea of Queens Kings Hatmen Multimedia Entertainment (QKH) was really birthed back in 1996 when my then boyfriend, a mutual friend of ours and I were on a bus in Milwakee, WI, heading to a gaming convention.
The idea went on to the backburner until 2004 when my entire department was laid off at SonyBMG. At that point I wanted to formally go into business for myself, so some my 401K money went into forming and registering QKH.
Originally it was a formal name to all of my musical and creative business endevors, including the first incarnation of this website. QKH was one of the first companies to do online video blogging of a recording artist and post it on youtube. The ideally was originally called "Janifer Television" or "Jan-Tv" for short. This was before it became popular for recording artists to do video blogs.
Since the creation of the company, I have been released on an internationally released UN charity album, performed over several hundred shows some of which include the main stage at PrideFest, Queens Pride, for the American Cancer Society, and many others. I also do work on television and film (see acting pages), had a single on major radio (103.5 KTU), been in the New York Times, Newsweek Online, Time Out NY Online, and may more. I also co-produced a show on public access television (Heat at the Hammerstein) in conjunction with NYRocksTv.
More recently QKH became the parent company of Media Mind Candy, which is a lifestyle, events, and sale blog. I also started writing and directing for 3 of my own animation series through Xtranormal. You can find them on QKH's youtube page.
QKH is committed to bringing the best to my projects in music, entertainment, and every brand of media the company ventures into.
